How do you remove the timing chain (or i read something about tying it up so it doesnt move) enough so i can take off the head?

I highly recommend you get access to a Mitchell, ShopKey5, Alldata, or whatever other electronic factory-type service manual. They are extremely useful and usually very detailed with diagrams and whatnot.
