'04 3400 Alero
Well I finally got a baseline on the red rocket on saturday night at st. thomas dragway!
Bone stock 2004 3400v6 Alero -transmission shift adjustment with hptuners -resonator delete because it rotted out -288,000kms -Power windows, locks, 2way power drivers seat First run right off the road, tools in trunk 1/8= 10.32 @ 68.18mph 1/4= 15.97 @ 86.03mph Run 2, removed tools from trunk 1/8= 10.23 @ 68.58mph 1/4= 15.86 @ 86.05mph After some more runs, adjusting the transmission tune... best run of the night 1/8=10.07 @ 70.31mph 1/4=15.57 @ 88.42mph I am very happy with the runs and what I have in to the car. Two weeks ago I drove it to the US and got 33mpg out of one of the tanks and have only had a few issues over the last two years with it. Now it is time for mods and lower ETs! |
Good job Scott!!! Did you see Paul there with his ws6 and his buddy with the mustang???

Not bad!
Scans of the runs are useful. too, if they let you do that at your track. And also note the ambient temperature if you can. |

I think he may have made a run while I was sitting in the stands with my laptop lol so I didn't see him :( I did log my runs so that I can take a look at them when I get a chance, and I think that the temperature was around 12-15*c I did upset a guy in a '12 hemi ram several times, I would get him on the tree and hold him off in the big end. He would run a. 05-.10 quicker than me every time. I was letting the car cool and getting a bite to eat at the concession stand and I hear these people talking about the races and then this one person says "I want to race that damn Alero again " so I speak up "OK!" lol, it was the guy with the ram Had some one think that I swapped a GTP engine in... nope bone stock 3.4 Last night I installed a turbo muffler of unknown brand for some more flow, 2.25" and a stock looking tip. It feels like I gained a little more mid/top end out of it. Looking to do a couple more things and get to the track in October and maybe get closer to the 14's and then I can start on my engine swap over the winter! |
