jesus listen to this, i pulled my gauge cluster out because i wanted to change the bulbs behind the needles, and everyone said, there are 194 bulbs behind them, so i just now get to them, and thinking that its just like any other bulb, i pull the poor 194 bulb out, yeah well its a little longer than normal 194 bulbs and yeah it was definatly attatched to a metal section that is very important in holding the bulb. so basically i wasnt supposed to pull the bulb out, and now i have no room to solder it back in, and im out of solder anyway. god im so f***ed....... :pissed: :pissed:

If youre just changing regular 194s and putting regular 194s, you dont have to solder anything, Just pick the little pieces of wire off the metal contacts, they prolly just melted.
If youre doing led 194, then I dont know, good luck. |
LED's are the same way...just make sure the contacts on the LED bulbs are touching the metal contacts on the bulb holder. if you put it all back together and some bulbs dont work at first, they're just in the wrong way. twist out the holder, turn it a half a turn and put it back in. it should now work fine.

i get what hes saying, the piece that contacts between the bulb and the gauge board came off with the bulb.......i didnt have that happen so i dont know if you can de-sp;der the contacts off the old 194's that were in there and put that piece back and then do what you gotta do.....
|
How the hell did it come out with the bulb? Unless the contact piece broke...maybe that's what happened?
I haven't looked at mine for a while so maybe I'm not visualizing it right... Even so, just get new little holders(whatever they're called), you shouldn't have to solder anything. |
