Hey, I'm Kyle!

I drive a white 1999 2.4L Alero. I don't know much about the different model names, but I can tell you that it is the absolute lowest package you could get.

I bought the car as my first car, and after driving several other demos my dad brought home, I fell on love with it.

I have no exterior mods done, but have installed a kenwood deck and a JL Audio components setup, minus the sub. I have always been looking for a nice little project to do on my car, no matter how basic.

I came across this forum while googling alero modifications. Any little mods that you would suggest are appreciated!!

One I have looked into is painting all the plastics inside of the car.

Welcome to Aleromod, glad you know how to search already. For mods are you wanting performance, looks or sound? That will help in the information we can give you.

Anything, but I run on a pretty tight budget. I just really enjoy doing anything to my car. One thing I refuse to so though is install anything from Canadian Tire or Walmart, unless some sort of LED's for in the car.

ATM I don't care much for performance, as I don't need the power really. So mostly sound and appearance.

I've use plenty of forums before, so I'm good at finding my way around :P

Nope, but their is some minor rust on the front right wheel well, by the door, barely noticeable. And a spot above the wheel well where paint got ripped off while in a car wash, but it is now fixed.

No pics though, like I said, it was the lowest model you could get from the factory, no upgrades, not even a spoiler.

I've always looked into tail lights, or even tail ligh tint, but have had no luck finding both.

I've seen people talking about Razzi kits.
I searchesthem up, and the years are 2000-04, but from what I know, the alero platform changed very little from 99-04. Would the kit fit on a 99 sedan?

Where can I find them, and how much would it run me?

whiterider00 08-23-2010 12:43 PM

this is what i bought
price with shipping is about half the normal price. it is a genuine razzi kit, but i have had quite a few issues installing mine.

But would it fit on a 99 sedan? It's labeled 00-04.

ya. as far as i know the body never changed for these cars. maybe small trim stuff, but the dimensions should be the same throughout all years.

IIRC there are two different razzi kits, on is 99-00 i believe, the other is 00-04

The only difference is the side skirts, the 99-00 flare much more than the other...theres a pic around here somewhere i'll see if i can dig it up

1st Gen Razzi kit:

see the flared out side skirts...

2nd Gen Razzi kit:

Front half of skirt isn't flared as much

hope that helps, as for fitment...I don't believe it makes a difference
