Led's in door (simplerish)

First I want to thank cherrington17 for the original idea.
here is his thread http://www.aleromod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8297
1st, remove door panel and tweeter housing
2nd, get the lock/unlock swich out
3rd, fit the new bulb in for the swich
4rd, drill holes where you plan to place the leds
5th, wire them up
6th, i found very quickly that taking power from where the original bulb went was a pain, i couldnt get it to soder right. so after some checking i found power can be drawn from where to plug goes in, you'll need to gray and black.
I drilled holes at the bass of the connection and sodered it there. im sure there are better ways though.
then put it all back together pretty much. (pics below)
sorry, first how to and im still a super noob
Thanks again to cherry for kicking this off.

Instead of making another, you should have just put this on the end of my original....

Also, for the tweeter led... there wasn't enough room to mount it behind the screen, in a similar fashion (or maybe 2-3, similarly, but spaced evenly) I don't remember if there was room, but that would have given a more uniform glow.

also, leds can use REALLY thin wire. like... 22-24ga. they don't draw much, so you shouldn't need heavy wires, or insulation like your pics seem to show.

In the future, try to use an actual camera, with a macro option for How-To posts... its really hard for someone to try to follow those pics, in a meaningful way.

Thanks for the addition though. Good start to joining the ranks of the Amod family.

for the tweeter im getting some new ones that will cover over the whole thing so you wont see the actual bulb, depending on how that looks i might add another on the bottom.
