door frame trim removal

ive searched and couldnt find anything. i need to know how to, if its even possible, remove and replace the black trim on the B-pillar area of the doors. it almost looks like it can just slip off, but im sure its more complicated than that. thanks in advance.

ok dude its not a "b-pillar" ok?? please

its call door frame applique, here we go...........

pull the weather stripping down, and you have to remove the belt molding, if you have the belt molding tool it makes it allot easier, but if you dont, the belt moldings are clipped and pressure fitted on so....with the window down......grab the inside of the belt molding, and as you grab you push down and up, keep doing that to break the molding free

inside the applique there are 3 screws once you pull back the weather stripping, then pull out and over, comes right off,
and then just reverse the process

I was wondering about this too, thanks bdyman.

whiterider, are you getting new ones or are you going to sand/paint your existing ones?

dunno yet. i have a spare alero lying around, waiting for someone to buy it...he knows who im talking about...so i may swipe them off that one. and bdyman, i know its not the b pillar, thats why i said b pillar area, i just forgot what the technical name for it was. ill give it a shot since mine are dented and starting to rust a little bit, and the other ones look new.

thanks for the help. with the shitty weather, and the rediculous amount of work ive had, i havent had a chance to tackle this yet, but it looks easy enough that it shouldnt take too long.
