Thought id introduce myself. Im kendal from NY but go to college in MA. Ive owned a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero for 2 years now. Always wanted to do something to it but never had other modded aleros to look at as there are none around where i live. After finding this site its inspired me to get started and ive worked on a couple things

EDIT : forgot to post its a 2.4l Twin cam coupe

Just covers for now. My alero came with some hideous covers so i bought a new pair. Planning on doing everything that i want done then rims so those are only temporary. They give the car a nice look for now though :p

hoods probably going back to white though. I had planned to do a 2-tone (gloss black top with my white bottom) like this but i started to second guess how it'd look on an alero.

any opinions ? 20% tint all around , black rims , carbon fiber vinyl on door pillar and mirrors , and the 2 tone paint ...

paint will be done professionally (neighbor is my bestfriend n his dad works at a paint shop n his mom works at a shop that sells the paint so they said if i pay for the paint which will be discounted they will paint for free)

Good deal! I have learned that free paintjobs from friends who are pros, are still never half as good as the work the really get paid for.

lol i know. i had the option to put the work in the mustang or do shit to this alero. After becoming attatched to this alero i decided to start on this first. It only has 46k miles compared to the mustangs 180k. Plus its never been in an accident and the mustangs been in 4. & sports car + male + under 25 = insurance spike

yea i'd imagine it wouldnt be as good but he also did my friend across the streets maxima ( its 6 of us guys from the block that hang out) about 3 years ago and the paint job still looks as great as the day he did it .. i plan on tossing him like 400 after the job to show my appreciation.

also already ordered 35w 8k HIDs from ddmtuning which will hopefully be here soon (cant wait to put them in)
&& ordered 8 red LEDs after reading Papasmurf (sorry if i got the name wrong) guide. im going for a white/black exterior with small hints of red (brake pads) and a red/black interior with small hints of white

Tint those windows, I did about a month ago and it makes the car look great.
