straight pipe 3400
i straight piped my alero because the stock muffler sucks. technically it blows... but you get the point haha. i cut the res out too. but this is temporary until i end up getting a different muffler (any ideas?). let me know what you guys think..

I can tell you still have your cat... I dont you should hear mine

Woahhhhhhhhhhhhh
It needs a muffler. |
yeah haha it's still pretty loud, kinda getting worried about getting pulled over. but without the cat has to be crazy,

i know, im just not sure what to get. i have a budget because i'm saving to get my quarter panels fixed. |
Pacesetter muffler/tips :)

Flowmaster super 44 $80 or something thats what reddog has they sound amazing
|
Not trying to sound cheap, but I'm trying to find something a little cheaper than 80. If I had the choice I would probably buy a flow master 80 crossflow.
|
Its your car but for an exhaust... 80 for a muffler is cheap. I have about 800 into just the exhaust on my other car
|
flomaster sound great on aleros

I may try a Supertrapp system to quiet my ride and allow for access to uncorking it when needed: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sup-344-2005 The whole mufflers they sell are expensive, but you can add the disc system only. |
I dont trust those things though.. you could do an e-cutout as well. But you need to get a good one since the cheeper ones are known to crap out after a while
|
Makes me think of the the old 3.1mpi when the baffles went out in muffler. Sounds good to me
|
wow that sounds like doodoo. get a flowmaster 40 or some type of magnaflow.

Agreed. $80 is nothing....my borla cost me $700 |
check local classified adds... I got mine used off a guy parting out a grand am... dual magnaflows from the downpipe back... $125 :) deals are out there, just gotta search and be willing to drive a bit... I went 3 1/2 hrs for mine!! but the whole system was over $800 when the guy had it installed...
|
You are better off staying straight piped than getting a cheap muffler and it failing in a few months
|
ehh, screw it. haha i think i'm gonna go with a flowmaster super 44.
|
Good boy
|
Mine is strait piped withe the stock set up pretty much. No cat, welded a piece of pipe in, and a 35$ thrush muffler from schucks. Not the prettyiest but it sounds good. Cost less then 50 for everything.
