Im about to buy the 62mm throttle body for my 3400 aleeo...do you guys haveing any opions about it or any hints to make the install easier? all help is apprectiated!

FormulaNERD 01-11-2005 11:06 PM

you plan on any other mods? if you're not porting the intake, and/or going with forced induction then the intake is pretty much useless.

stlalerodude03 01-11-2005 11:11 PM

well i have a full flowmaster system including cat plus i hav a shrt ram intake and about to get and underdrive pulley is that not enougth fot the TB?

FormulaNERD 01-11-2005 11:27 PM

someone will probably try and argue, but the stock intake manifold can only take so much air in at a time, and 62mm is a little overkill. you might be disappointed with the money you've spent, that's all i'm saying.

stlalerodude03 01-11-2005 11:36 PM

thanks for your input i proabbly wont get it and just get some zex

stlalerodude03 01-11-2005 11:38 PM

bigd6983 01-11-2005 11:39 PM

i have the b&m shiftplus kit which does the same thing......and i dont like it too much, the sound when the gears engage is a lil too much for me.....just dont like the way it sounds, but it works and does what it says......and plus if you plan on getting reprogrammed ecu it comes with raised transmission pressure with it.....which is what those do.........so i dunno, its a cheap mod, and shows a major difference.....

stlalerodude03 01-11-2005 11:46 PM

thanks alot guys!

FormulaNERD 01-11-2005 11:46 PM

i had the b&m before i got my ASE, the ASE shifts a little harder at wot, but not too hard during normal driving..... my tranny doesnt make any noises though.

stlalerodude03 01-11-2005 11:48 PM

will i feel a differnce with acceleration or top end with the trans interceptor?

FormulaNERD 01-11-2005 11:52 PM

no, it shifts firmer...same as the b&m, but the b&m is basically the same, and way cheaper.

stlalerodude03 01-11-2005 11:54 PM

what about a new underdrive pulley?

FormulaNERD 01-11-2005 11:58 PM

quicker revs, maybe a little power....

i have the fast forward performance pulley i'm not using, pm me if you want it, i was too lazy to install it. oh i have the new belt you'll need too.

bigd6983 01-12-2005 12:00 AM

very little power, but much quicker revving......tons of ways to make a car faster, its not just hp.....

stlalerodude03 01-12-2005 12:05 AM

so what the best thing i can get nexy,, i already have a full flowmaster exhausy system with a cat and a shrt ram intake system any suggestions

FormulaNERD 01-12-2005 12:07 AM

sounds like you're taking the best route... start small... if you can afford headers, i'd get them. other than that, if you wanna go nos, you can go that way, but i personally wouldnt on a stock engine, but thats just me

bigd6983 01-12-2005 12:07 AM

whats ur budget look like? are you looking for only performance mods? suspension?

stlalerodude03 01-12-2005 12:09 AM

i have about 400 a month to spend solley on my car

bigd6983 01-12-2005 12:13 AM

yea man ill agree with formula, go with some headers, you will have to save a little bit but they give the biggest and most noticable gains without going firced induction or nitrous.....so ive heard anyway, i still havent got to that point........
