Easier dome light hook up:
[attachmentid=10526]
the black/red wire will be positive if your alarm trigger is negative, or negative if the trigger is positive.

for the parking lights i used the dark brown wire under the column cover on the connector on the light switch. it takes a positive pulse, i think all alarms/kes come with a fused positive parking light wire so you should be able to tap right into it.

trunk release i used the black/white wire coming from the drivers side door at the kick panel. it needs a negative pulse or a grounded relay.

Do you happen to know what color the O2 wire is, that is behind the engine. For attaching the A/F Ratio Gauge

sound_xtreme 05-30-2006 05:06 PM

i think it's purple, i just tapped in at the sensor.

i've been hunting for a wire that will turn on the dome light, when the door opens, and off, after several seconds...

i've found one that turns on, when the door opens, but stays on. Another that turns on, when the door closes... (both in the purple bundle under the driver's side floor panel)

any ideas?

sound_xtreme 05-30-2006 05:51 PM

you could use the door sensors in one of the doors.

sound_xtreme 05-30-2006 05:58 PM

or u could use a decent sized capacitor. it'd give that "fade" effect. or u can use a 555 timer i think.

cherrington17 05-30-2006 09:08 PM

i tried testing the door sensors...

maybe i was testing it wrong, but it didn't seem to have what i needed, on one wire. i believe its a combination of wires, running to something...

sound_xtreme 05-30-2006 09:27 PM

you are correct about the sensor. you need to touch the 2 wires together. use a relay to do that
