Tint on a white alero

Alrighty then,
The tint shop near my house is running a 120 dollar winter special for 2 door cars. Up here in Missouri the law is 35% in the front but what ever you want in the back, im thinking 35% in the front and someting like 15% in that back but would that make the fronts look like they wernt tinted at all? Let me know what you guys would do.

do 20s all around and call it a day

pimpalero2003 02-05-2008 03:07 PM

do 2 percent on the sides 10 in the back window and 50 for front windshield

Okay, don't listen to these guys. If you did 35% up front and 15% in the backs, you would be okay. I would actually suggest you do 40% up front because you also have a tid bit of factory tint in there. With mine at 40%, it actually comes in at around 36.3% said the last tint-meter.
The backs being darker will actually have the opposite effect. It is going to make your front windows look even darker, so therefore you should make sure they are legal.

Well according to its past customers, if the tint is illegal you dont get the warranty. So scence it makes the fronts look darker ill go ahead and do that.^^ Thanks you guys.

35% all around.. I hate cars with darker in the rear and lighter in the front.. I like everything to match and flow

Gr1m 02-05-2008 07:06 PM

40% is nothing really, you can see right through that in the day time, like i advised before, i would get 20% all around.
these pics are 20% in the rear and 35% up front

white04alero 02-05-2008 07:28 PM

i did 20% all around
i live in kansas and ive been pulled over multiple times - they've said nothing.

doubleN0alero 02-05-2008 10:02 PM

I guess it all depends on the police. I had 40% in pa and I got pulled over every other day....

lonnie 02-06-2008 07:56 AM

I had 5% in the back three and 15% in the front and it looked very good, but then I got stopped now I just have the 5% in the back and will be getting tint back in the front.
