steering wheel lights(cruse control)
i have the cruse control off/on switch light out, how do i switch the bulb out?:(

I am pretty sure you have to replace the switch if you want the light back. The light isnt designed to be replaced.

Its a real pita to get into those, but it can be done. I dont recall if they are in a socket or soldered in but, it Could be done. You'll have to remove the air bag to get to the bolts holding the buttons on, then you'll be able to pop them apart and get in there. If your going to go that far, replace the bulbs for the other 3, chances are they arent that far behind.

ummmm ill just stick with having a bulb out on my steering wheel, airbag re-movement is where i draw the line lol

indeed the lights, some are regular LEDs one or two are tiny smd LEDs, but all soldered in.
The question remains, are the LEDs shot, or is it one of the circuits. sorry dont have the pics of a taken-apart switch anymore. |
Usually the light outlasts the switch.

Most bulbs that GM used for the dashboards and steering columns SUCK! I see a lot of GM cars with multiple lights out. |
99% of all my lights still work. :) i have one cruise light out, meh.
