I have the worst luck

So I keep the car garaged all winter long, and I figure hey this week is going to be damn nice out and I can get her out for a few days. So I get it out on sunday to just have the joy of driving it for a few days before putting it back away for a month or so. Well monday night while it is parked at my apartment complex it gets vandalized. They caught the 4 mexican guys that broke into my car, but the damage is felt. They ripped of the spoiler, tried prying into my trunk with crowbars, broke my passenger window, ripped out the stereo, sliced the rear leather seat trying to get into the trunk, and broke both my taillights.
So anyway, I called the insurance company and luckily it is all covered under my policy. So I will be getting it all fixed for free! Luckily. Glad they caught the guys. So now I have to go through all the paper work and go to court and such for this. I had the car out for literally one day. Im not taking it to my apartment complex ever again. But anyway, here are some photos of the damage they did.

C_EICK 02-18-2009 02:12 AM

thats sad! but look at the bright side, you get that new leather smell again!....lol...jk seriously, that sucks

Guitar_B 02-18-2009 02:12 AM

That makes me SICK!

Mori01 02-18-2009 06:39 AM

Holt shit, the nerve of some people..that really sucks man, I hope they get what they deserve!

AlbinoMonkeyRat 02-18-2009 06:48 AM

aside from the spoiler, I think you're really luck you don't have to re-do any of the bodywork (molded bumper to fender). Hopefully you can get the paint fixed easily too. IIRC, it was HOK Tangelo.

Nate's Alero 02-18-2009 08:26 AM

omgwow.... death would ensure if it was my car

FrankTheTank 02-18-2009 08:47 AM

that is probably gonna be hard to match the paint on, but i could be wrong.

Gr1m 02-18-2009 08:59 AM

damn sweet would be pissed to see this lol

Trickyslick 02-18-2009 09:12 AM

makes you want to break some knee caps....

[ion] C2 02-18-2009 09:21 AM

that effing sucks. grrrr...... it's the one thing my car isn't protected from.... i have a 2-way alarm (so hopefully i can get out there in time to say hi while they're effing with my shit) and i have real time tracking (so i can find my car real easy if it's ever stolen) but there's nothing you can really do to stop people who just bust shit up.. and i don't have full coverage insurance.

what the eff is the problem with people, these effers need a hundred cuts and a salt bath

AGT 02-18-2009 09:23 AM

Need to rip up any leather you want fully replaced...know what I mean. If you find some cracked leather than you need to take a knife to it.

doubleN0alero 02-18-2009 09:28 AM

Alarms don't work...same thing happened to my car and I had a good and loud alarm.

[ion] C2 02-18-2009 09:44 AM

2-way alarms work. noise doesn't attract any attention from anyone else, but an alert sent directly to you will.

and you can do like Gr1m does and hook the alarm output to a train horn

are you retarded or something?

[ion] C2 02-18-2009 10:37 AM

you know how much that would cost?

actually i don't even know. i should ask what my dad's plan is. i know right now all i pay is like $53/mo for PLPD. but i'm pretty sure full coverage would be really expensive.

bonez1203 02-18-2009 10:42 AM

have firearm will travel:ninja: :jk: anyway sorry to hear about your ride

that's what my plan is, I dunno many thieves/vandals that wanna stick around when it sounds like there's a train right there blasting in their face.

misslindseysue 02-18-2009 11:52 AM

My full coverage is less than $100/mo. The Alero was expensive to insure, though, because crap like that happens a lot and kids like you drive them and crash them all the time.

Sorry to see it though, hope it doesn't end up totalled - that's a lot of damage.
