Heard a pop in the rear suspension.

as the title states, i was taking my rims and slicks to have them mounted, on the second run on the way home i heard a loud tong/pop noise in the rear suspension, sounded like a spring broke. got home jacked it up and found the drivers side rear swaybar bracket broke and fell off. i have 2 new ones on order. does anybody the part number for the speedbuilt rear swaybar poly bushings? pfyc has them but they want 10.00 to ship them.

i got it fixed, i had an extra set in my garage that i forgot i had with aftermarket brackets, took a little work but now i have greasable bushings.

whats the benefit to greasable bushings, as opposed to our standards?

You can't really tell by the pics.. and the original design it just kinda fit in a slot and pivoted down, not bolted in.

3 lol. I just replaced the brcket again and there was still the remnants of 2 old one sitting under the nut holding this bracket on.

i know i just brought this back from the dead, but if anyone else has the speedbuilt sway bar in the rear, check the brackets to see if theyre broken. mine might be going because of the air ride and how low this car sits, but those with lowering springs and the sways may be in the same boat.

all 3 were the driver side too. oh and the dealer seems to be the only one who will order just one of these. 10 bucks. everyone else only wants to sell 2 plus the hardware.

tw0123 11-06-2016 10:18 AM

I'll have to check mine... I'm in the same boat as you, being on air...

Do you have the part number handy?

00redse 11-06-2016 12:01 PM

negative. i just called the dealer and described it. it was a 2 day wait for it too.
