Wed Night Grudge Racing

Louisville, KY

Ohio Valley Dragway....(it's only 1/8 mile, but good enough to work on 60 ft times, traction, tuning)

http://www.ohiovalleydragway.com/

Calling out the other local yokels around here for a night of Test 'n' Tune or grudge match challenges.

Any 1999+ GrandAm or Alero that can beat "B888" (my car) gets a $20 bill out of pocket from me -- that's a Gov't legal tender note, not my grocery bill, and more than Sikmindz and tonyyank can make in an evening down at the Y.

And always, before going to the track, call ahead first and make sure events have not been cancelled.

I will try to post and confirm tomorrow when actually headed to the track, if anybody replies.

lol, get some Aeroquip hose or something to replace that clear reinforced Home Depot stuff....

Of course, I've used the clear stuff before, too, but it gets brittle pretty quick

Or is that metal sheathing??

probably not, this supra has a strange history, it had an original owner who i guess put a majority of the miles on it, and kept it stock, then sold it to some wierd guy, who converted to single, and basically installed the lowest quality parts on it, like that crappy hosing, half a tune, rusty charge pipes, ebay intercooler, 60trim ebay turbo and manifold.

and then my friend ben came along who is the luckiest person ive ever met with cars, he started out with a 2001 eclipse then got a 95 gsx, wrecked the 01 eclipse, sold the gsx, bought a N/A supra for the money he got from the wreck and gsx sale, then sold the n/a supra for a R33 bodystyle GT-S skyline, then traded that for a EVO 8 with 24k miles on it, then traded that for this supra.

and ever since then its been sitting in the garage, sincle within a week of owning it, the hot side where the downpipe connects to it just crumbled off, its been dead thanks to the smart decision of the previous owner investing in ebay quality.

basically the engine is a powerhouse, but is endlessly expensive, and is taking him a while to build since its the deepest money pit ~_~ and hes replacing stuff bit by bit.

but im glad i got a turbo paperweight out of it lol.

heres what replaced it:

i've got a buddy with an 88 supra that he picked up for about $2k it shows its age on the body BUT its got a brand new 7MGTE which is pre 1 or 2jzgte but its still potent enough to keep up with the 2JZ if built right its stock for now and as he gets money we're doing turbo swap, turbo back exhaust and then who knows what is in store for it
