When we released the Stage 2 package it came with everything there now. It's possible the injectors may not have been added to the list until later, but seeing how we started making these packages around March 2005, and you bought yours in 2006, the kit should have been complete by today's standards by that time. I know because I took the gasket pics for the gaskets included in the package (with the wood background) at a customer's house in Michigan. I sold three camshafts to their group of car guys, and packed up my truck full of gear and did 2 or 3 cam installs that weekend at their houses, and those were among the first camshafts sold.

The tune is pretty important, but it isn't what broke your valvespring, unless someone programmed in more than 7000 or so rpm shiftpoints.

No of course the tune didn't break the spring. The tune is why the car ran slow. I never had the time to drive from DC to Dayton to have you tune it. Do you now offer a baseline tune to go with your cam and head packages?

Yep, sure do. It's the same tune we sell as a MMS Stage 2 pcm. More timing, higher idle, higher shift points and rev limiters, higher torque limits, plus all the other features of our standard tune.

If someone didn't address the torque management tables in the pcm when you ran your car, you would have no chance of running a low 14.

Torque management was all disabled. That's why the car now slips on the 1-2 shift. What I would like to do is send you my old .bin file and have you see if anything sticks out as being out of whack. It's moot now as the that old motor is all parted out, but it would be nice to get your opinion on what should have been.

Jackal, that is not why your trans slips on the shifts.... shit guys the wild assumptions here are insane...

If the force motor table was not adjusted then you were just a shit show waiting to happen. GM sets these tables too low, even for a stock set up. Just a hint for your "tuners" out there. The force motor table needs to be reduced by 10%. Lower mv's increase pressure. This is not too much that you would damage solenoids, but will save your trans in the long run. This is why my STOCK TRANS never blew up or cooked bands.

Paul. You are my tuning idol.

I found out yesterday that the same applies to the 4L60 and 65 too! That one I didn't know. Anyone that has done the 4T65 should do the same as well. It's beginning to look like all of the electronically controlled transmissions from GM have been set low. I don't know yet if this applies to the newer ones, but those are ones that should have the tables reduced for sure.
