would these work?
I was looking for ideas on what to do with my car when I came across a post about clearing the corners on your headlights and it seemed simple to do and I also read about the special bulbs for the turn signal that are clear but the light they emit is amber colored and it seemed like something I really want to do one of these days when I get some free time!
anyways I was looking for compatible bulbs that fit the description and came up with these http://www.ebay.com/itm/2X-New-3157-...14c0ea&vxp=mtr I was almost ready to buy them but then I looked at the description and saw that they have two different sockets the standard one and the ck one and I have no idea which one the alero has. I tried looking it up but didn't have any luck. if these aren't the ones I need than can anyone lead me to the correct ones? |
i don't know what's up with those multi color bulbs
but i use silverstars for the 3157 and pilot for the 194 |
If anything you will need resistors. But those honestly wont be that bright. Run normal bulbs. Or the chrome/amber 3157's.

Well it's not like they're meant to light up the road :P lol as long as other drivers can see them when I'm either parked or making a turn is all that i want from these bulbs lol and also i want them to look nice on my car!!! :D

Imo that bulb will just look odd. I still suggest a chrome coated turn signal bulb. So it will basically blend in with the chrome headlight bezel.

I have those LEDs in my car. Yes I know I have to clear the corners. Waiting for my switch back Audi style LEDs to put along the inside of the headlight bezels. Attachment 12361

I have those as well. They are actually really bright.... the ones I have have 60 smd leds.... you just have to be careful with the ones you get. One set I had was supposed to light white and flash Orange but was the other way around lol

You just switch the polarity. The turn signal plug has 4 connectors for the pins on the bulb. Two are for grounds. The other two would obviouslly be your power. Usually the side on the right of the socket is your positive if I remember correctly. Put the bulb in to make sure it lights up. If it lights amber take the bulb out and switch the two little prongs going into the bulb on the right side. Problem should be solved.

Nope the ones I had were made wrong.... no matter which way they were installed they either didn't work or lighting was backwards
|
Oh they actually look pretty nice!! :D are they the bulbs i asked about exactly or are they a diffrent type? If theyre diffrent from the ones I asked about can you post a link to the ones you have?
|
Same style. Can't say for sure if the same company made them.

Junk, total ricer style junk!!
Super dim, not worth 15 cents. Buy regular bulbs and save your money for real mods |
I like em. It's something different.
