OKAY GANG......I HOPE EVERYONE HAS THEIR FUNDING LINED UP BECAUSE WE ARE ON A DEADLINE HERE IF WE WANT THIS TO GO THROUGH.

From Brian @ PFYC:

Hi Matt:

Here's what we'd like to propose:

Pricing is same as before, $279.99 for a combo Front and Rear set. Shipping will be a flat rate $20 to anywhere in the lower 48 states. Canadian orders will ship for flat rate of $35 via UPS, but Canadians also need to be aware of UPS taxes, duties and brokerage fees that they'll be responsible for that are collected upon delivery by the UPS driver.

To get started, we'd set up a deposit page. The deposit is $150.00 and is NON REFUNDABLE unless we fail to get the required number of deposits which is a total of 20. If we fail to get 20 deposits, refunds will be done minus 5% (or $142.50). If someone with a deposit changes their mind, it is up to them to find a person to take their spot. Once an agreement has been made for the person to take their spot, we'd refund $142.50 to the original person immediately after the replacement person pays the $150 deposit to us directly (this MUST be arranged beforehand). If someone with a deposit changes their mind AFTER the bars have been made and are on their way to us from the manufacturer, that person's deposit will be refunded in the amount of $142.50 AFTER the replacement person has paid for the set IN FULL.

PFYC is required to order a minimum of 25 sets. Once we have 20 deposits on hand though, we'll place the order with the manufacturer. We must have the 20 deposits on hand by Jan 31, 2012. If the 20 deposits are on hand prior to Jan 31, 2012, we'll place the order for production. Production time has been quoted to us as 4-6 weeks. We have no control over that number though and I believe the later into spring this might go, the longer that quote might stretch, that's why I think having the order in by Jan 31, 2012 is the necessary. If the January 31st date does not work out, it is flexible by a couple of weeks if we've received 14 deposits by then and the majority of the group would like to extend it. This can be determined by using PFYC's Facebook page where we'll post a poll if required.

Once the bars have been shipped to us, we'll start collecting the balance due which will be $129.99 plus applicable shipping. Transit time from the manufacturer to our warehouse is about one week. Anyone with a deposit must pay their balance within 2 weeks of the time we ask balances to be paid.

Sorry for all the specific terms but we're trying to answer the "what ifs" that are likely to come up so that everyone knows up front what they are agreeing to.

I sent Brian a reply thanking him, and asking him to proceed with creating a deposit page on pfyc.com. If there is a special hyperlink for sending in deposits, I will post it as soon as I get it.

How long till they are ready to buy. i have to replace all of the struts and springss ( i am getting some GR2s and sprint springs , and both front wheel bearings. If i get everything fixed i might be interested in a set if everything is fixed when the deposit is due. If i have the 150 bucks could he hold the sway bars till i have the rest of the money.

Please thoroughly read Brian's response, as the answers to your questions are there.

Do any of you Canadian guys want to arrange for these to be delivered somewhere in Buffalo?
Then one person goes to pick up and we all split the gas?

I think this would save all of us a great deal of cash (UPS WILL rape you)

hok666 01-11-2012 06:04 PM

That is a great deal! Wish I could be board right now...;(

Shiwnath 01-11-2012 06:26 PM

YES! Looks like this is happening..as long as everyone who says they were goning to pay up actually does. Thanks a lot for taking care of everything Matt.

who is manufacturing the bars? eibach or speedbuilt or other? how is this to be done if we are only ordering the front or only the rear bar? the statement above is in regards to ordering the pair. 280.00 for the set is 140 per bar, 150 deposit is more than a single bar. im in but i just need a front.

Papa Rad17 01-11-2012 08:46 PM

Let's do this!

I don't know who exactly the manufacturing partner is, but they are/will be Speedbuilt bars, which is PFYC's private label brand.
The minimum ordering requirement from PFYC was 20 bars of each type - that means if any rear bars were to be made, we must order at least 20. Likewise for front bars; to get any made requires an order of at least 20.
My understanding is that in addition to full sets, individual bars will also be available.
More details will come when the deposit page is up.
