wow, i bet thats going to handle like a dream

lmao

SweetNLow 05-20-2006 02:47 PM

not that i like 14alero..... but he made them for looks not performance.

me and joel have made a bunch of sets. they ride like poop UNLESS you use kyb struts. then it actually rides and handles rather well.

if you know what your doin......... which im sure 14alero doesnt...... coils are a great way to go lower than drop springs but without the cost of air obviously.

14alero 05-20-2006 03:33 PM

which im sure 14alero doesnt Whats that supposed to mean ?They handle like a dream i didnt rig them up, the fit on the strut just fine and i didnt have to cut anything either and yes i used kyb struts and they ride good real good to my opinion

FormulaNERD 05-20-2006 05:32 PM

i'd be willing to bet that the stock setup would take a skidpad or slalom better than your setup.

i know joel has expirience, and i would trust those a little more, but anything that hasnt been developed and tested by a reputible suspension company isnt going to be a great product 9 times out of ten.

points for making your own setup though.

SweetNLow 05-20-2006 09:49 PM

if u didnt cut anything there is no way u got much a drop..... if u used those cavy coilovers u said u had anyways

14alero 05-20-2006 11:04 PM

it tucks the wheels good

SweetNLow 05-20-2006 11:11 PM

no way dude

what springs do u have on the coils?

14alero 05-20-2006 11:16 PM

The Springs that came with with the Coilovers ill post pics so low i cant get a jack under the car i wouldnt lie Plus alot of people say its hard to do the coilover swap its real easy to do

SweetNLow 05-20-2006 11:18 PM

ok i believe u. so where did u get the coils from? what brand? im jsut curious thats all

14alero 05-20-2006 11:22 PM

Hahahah your going to laugh Ebay and they are a no name hey Man your going to happy i took your suggestion and took the carbon vinyl off the mirrors it did look kinda gay

SweetNLow 05-20-2006 11:32 PM

good.... carbon fiber overlay is gay.

what car/year are the coilovers for?

battistoni21 05-20-2006 11:48 PM

oh i agree 100%. all the sets i made were for SHOW only. the kyb/coilover setup is indeed better, but still pretty rough none the less

violentrapture 05-21-2006 12:46 AM

hm, interesting - I wouldn't mind being that low. Any chance you want to build another set?

yea, i gotta give a little respect to joel, at least with his there were results you could see, and he could use different spring rates and stuff too if i remember correctly.
