DDM Tuning HIDS

Hey i just ordered some hid kits from ddm tuning and they were only 35 dollars a piece or 45 for 55 watt. Anybody done busness with them?

Lucalare 12-29-2010 06:48 PM

I haven't personally dealt with them but I've heard nothing but good things about them.

jhubbz 12-29-2010 07:08 PM

seriously dude.... search button. i have em in my lows and fogs. also just installed some 9007 hi/lo in a sunfire today which was a PITA.

whiterider00 12-29-2010 07:08 PM

A good amount of members with hids got them from ddm, and from what ive read, noones had any issues, including myself.

Rouseman 12-29-2010 09:30 PM

Alright cool. I got 5000k for my lows and 3000 for my fog lights all 55 watt.

everyone knows about DDM, nothing bad to say

Redog 12-30-2010 02:55 AM

I bought 3 kits from them for my car, all 35 watt. Happy with the quality

I don't think the 55 watt fits in the fog light housing, plus I don't think they recommod the 55 watt for small fog light housings

Shiwnath 12-30-2010 03:07 AM

yeah i woudn't go with 55W in the fogs either. 35W is good enough. With 55W HIDs in the headlights, you get your point across.

I have 6000k in the low beams on the bravada...

robalero 12-30-2010 03:14 PM

ive got them in my low's and high's. had issue's with one of my high bulb that burnt out almost right away no idea why but it did but they sent another one asap free of charge so no issues at all

sleepyalero 12-30-2010 03:49 PM

I Just got mine yesterday And installed. Ill make a thread later for you to look at with pics on how They look.

I got 8000k 35w and I love them . Very bright!

Only thing is if u get the slim ballast (has lifetime warranty) Idk bout the others but the plug that goes into the ballast you have to flip over and plug it in backwards or the lights won't come on.

robalero 12-30-2010 04:06 PM

thats just normal with almost all vehicles, doesn't matter if its slim or not the only vehicles I found that you don't have to do it with is mostly imports except for my buddy's impala I didn't have to do it to his.

only thing with DDM is sometimes they take awhile to ship, you can have it in a week or a month it really depends on how far you are and how backed up they are

sleepyalero 12-30-2010 06:10 PM

Yeah mine took almost 2 weeks but good for the money and I ordered mine Dec 18 got it the 29th not bad for ordering them right before xmas

sfi3400 12-30-2010 08:58 PM

have a question i thouht i knew the answer but ill ask. I got 6000k ddm 9006. the person doing the installation said they need to disable my day time running lights if this is true how do i do that?

sleepyalero 12-30-2010 09:14 PM

Take out fuse #22 I think... check under fuse box top look for drl on it... and cut pin 87a I'm pretty sure. I think there's a how to on here too

Its a relay, not a fuse.

sleepyalero 12-30-2010 09:34 PM

That's what I ment to put

robalero 12-31-2010 05:17 AM

and he does not need to disable the DRL for your low beams

Malibu369258 12-31-2010 11:44 AM

I've been looking at their kits, need to get one for the Miata.

If its a 03 or later that uses LOW beams for DRLs then, yes, they should be disabled before you put the HIDs in.
