I have been thinking of ways in which to increase the gas mileage on my '01 Alero 2.2L....

I have seen quite a few CAI for the V6 but nothing for the 4 cylinder... Is this because it doesn't do much good to put a CAI in a 2.2L engine? Has anyone tried this and gotten better mileage? Also wondering if anyone has tried "The Turbinator" air intake insert? Did it help your HP/Mileage? Thanks in advance!

i have a v6 so i cant help with the intake question, but for the love of god dont waste your money on that turbonator crap. its all a bunch of bs.

there are WAI intakes out there. see rksport and for a CAI see induction dynamics. the intakes for the cavalier and sunfire will fit on the alero no problems.

The Tornado works but once you hit 3000 rpm you get real crapy gas milage. Had a friend with one and it was good on the free way in a V6 but he put it in his 4 banger and it fell like 5 MPG

Regarding rksport, does anyone know the part number for a WAI that will fit the 2.4l?? I saw that they have a 99 2.4l cavalier intake but i'm not sure if this will work on our cars
