well i got this for my birthday in march and this is the first time i got to use it. The ho had about 3 months of salt and sand on it, and i notices how gross it was yesterday when i was putting on my cross drilled rotors (good photo how-to on the way). The Mr.Clean thing is pretty cool, its got a knob to change from wash water to soap to deionized(filtered)water, and a tap on/off switch. you rinse your car, then wash it with the soap and scrub it as usual, then you rinse off the soap, and then you rinse it all down with the deionized water and just let it dry. No more drying the car, and it is spotless!!! saves me a good half hour everytime i wash the car now, I'd recommend it, :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Not worth puttin a picture up until the rims and chrome are back on. a couple more weeks until i'm sure all the snow and salt will STAY gone.

nice, I'll have to pick one of these up, where can I get one??

99ALERO 03-27-2005 06:26 PM

I think they sell it at Wal Mart or stores like that. I got it for Christmas and cant wait to use it! Damn Wisconsin weather is soo fussy!

cutelilcntrygrl 03-27-2005 10:16 PM

I bought one of these last year when they first came out.. pretty good but not good if you're in a hurry. You have to make sure you spray every little spot with the spot free stuff. Sucks that the filters only last for like 2 washes tho...

Sno 03-27-2005 10:38 PM

wal mart is hwere i got mine, it is definately an awesome product, i always wash w/ mr clean auto dry

Crolero 03-28-2005 04:48 AM

Cant wait fot that how-to.

stealthlero 03-28-2005 10:56 AM

how much do the mr clean auto drys usually cost and how much are the filters u gotta replace?

turtles_ride 03-28-2005 12:52 PM

i'm not sure what they cost, mine was a gift, and i'm not sure how much the soap or filters run, but it does save alot of time, and time is money(especially if you wash your car lots, so i think its worth it.

Naich 03-28-2005 11:39 PM

These things work well but use a TON of that soap and they go through filters very fast.

stealthlero 03-28-2005 11:53 PM

i'd say maybe i could find the soap and filters in bulk packs at a walmart or sam's club, but i wouldnt be caught dead in either of those two places, so ill find a cheap site to get them....

PimpinGad 04-13-2005 12:21 PM

PimpinGad 04-13-2005 03:20 PM

really anyone that can say they wouldn't be caught dead in a wal-mart shouldn't be driving an Alero, I keep it pimpin out o' wally world, f*ck it

IndyAlero 04-13-2005 05:22 PM

spotless lol i think not...Mine is never spotless...Im probably doing it wrong but i always have to end up drying it up which makes me mad.....

BigJon34 04-15-2005 11:04 PM

I've been thinking about getting one of these but like Naich said, it goes through the special soap very fast. Can you put regular car washing liquid in there? And am I wrong for wanting to put mild dishwashing liquid in there?

turtles_ride 04-16-2005 09:58 AM

i just used regular soap last time and it worked fine. The problem with dish soap is that it cuts oil, so if you have wax on your car it may remove it (not neccessarily a bad thing tho)

Mischief007 04-16-2005 09:23 PM

I just bought it today and used it on the Alero. 1800 km in one week of ownership puts a lot of crap on the car.

Anyways, she's nice and clean now. Worked like a charm. No water spots this time around. All the other times I used our water at this house it left water spots SO this is a nice solution. I love it.
