Tuning this hellish bitch
okay well ive been trying for over a :censored: month now to find a place that has an oscilloscope :badidea: and this is the only way to tune an amp this powerful "2000wrms" and get everything out of it :coolio:
I found this in my travels online anyone think this would be a good buy? i know id use it for other electronics that i do but its like 200 bucks with shipping!! lol im sure getting my shit tuned "by alpine rep" would cost me too!! so they got me by the balls!! :mad2: :bs: http://www.electronickits.com/gold/hps10.htm good idea since its not $300+ :thumb: or bad idea since its not $300+ i need your say lol :smokin: :smokin: :smokin: |
Can't you just google and try tuning it yourself without wasting your money?
Idk anything about audio but it took me 3 seconds to google this and i'm not sure if its credible info but someone will chime in. http://knowledge.sonicelectronix.com...ass-boost.html |
lol thats for smaller systems and its setting it by sound which i have tried and started a sub on fire! so i want to tune it 100% correct to avoid this again!!

Seeing that makes me really feel old, since I've still got an O-scope from the '90s and a freq generator that I assembled myself in the '70s. If it performs as claimed and you can generate test tones of any frequency I think I would get it, but its something I would want to try before buying or get some kind of product review first. Resolution doesn't look too great in the ad's sample pic. |
