Triple gauge under HVAC controls

Hi, I'm almost done with the triple gauge pod in my center console, the only thing left is to prep and paint it. You can see that the gauges are a little angled by the driver side so that I can see them better.
Let me know what you think !!!!!!!!!!!

Looks good dude!

Ive been waiting for it to warm up a bit until I start playing with fiberglass, I don't really have a good area to do it without stinking everything up. Center vent will start once its warmer. I may be interested in making/buying one of those, how much went into making it timewise?

guiguilandry 02-21-2009 11:56 PM

costed me like 80$ CAD of material and took maybe 10 to 15 hours right now.
I did not really calculate my time spent on my car because it is like that I'm always working on something... lol

I got that triple gauge piece from Z1 motorsport it is a 300zx parts/performance site, it is originally made to fit the center vent into the 300sx dash.
It was a tight fit because when I had cut my center console to make this fit, it almost broke in two piece there was like only 1/4 of plastic on each side...

looks good. I like how you kept the cubby hole, i got rid of mine when i did my duel gauges. you should vacume mold it in fiberglass. may be as an overlay for the stock trim (carbon fiber FTW)

it would be nice if the heater controls were seperate souldnt it ? its a pain in the ass, keeping them looking good.

malibu heater controls work in the alero if you wanta switch them out, (i have a few of them for cheap ;) cough.......cough......plug )

guiguilandry 02-23-2009 10:32 PM

yeah I was wanting to keep the cubby hole, in my opinion I prefer the alero stock heater control .... for the mold I do not have the skill to do vacuum molded fiberglass....

guiguilandry 03-11-2009 06:04 PM
