resonator delete
For anyone with a grand am gt or anyone with a 2.25" exhaust, what size pipe do I need to get for the res delete? Iyll have to be one trip to the parts store. Seems pretty self explanatory but I'm having a brain shit so help me out

Uhhh... if you are cutting out a res on a car with 2.25 inch exhaust piping.... you are going to get... well..... 2.25 inch piping to replace it.
If you are talking length.... its as easy as measure your res. 1-1.5 ft of piping should get you by. |
if you're not welding it can be a pain in the ass to get the right couplers
have your muffler shop do it for like $20. |
My local shops wony do it for less then 50. Lame I know. Yea I wouodnt be welding it so it wouod be a game with couplers. That's why I asked here
|
so do it for 50
couplers and clamps leak and will fall apart over time much easier than a welded in pipe, plus you don't have to deal with cutting and installing it all |
I figured you'd say that ion. I may have to. I finally got a sawzall just for this job and now I'm not so sure. I've done so much exhaust work its stupid but now I'm just like eh eff it. Let someone else do It. Alright never mind this thread admin can delete it.

How much was the sawzall?
My point, if you bought the sawzall just for this job, return it and use the money to do it the right way :coolio: |
