OSV Has Arrived

My OSV kit arrived this morning!

It was packed well except for the spoiler laying loosely in the carton. We were told that we would be able to inspect the kit for damage at delivery, WRONG! The shipper would not let me inspect it. There was absolutely no damage to the box so I accepted it. For those that have not been shipped the kit yet, I wouldn't bother with the COD. If there is no damage to the box then accept it, but it's your choice.

The rear bumper has a couple of issues as shown below. Not sure if all the bumpers will have it but I will addresss it with Bodykits.

This is a bump on the rear bumper, not sure what caused this but it is flat on the reverse side. It probably can be sanded with no difficulty but is annoying.

Stuff looks good.....
Does that white color correspond to GM #9753, by any chance? :)

hok666 02-25-2009 12:56 PM

Hmmmmmmmm......... I dont see your spoiler???

StoopidAlero 02-25-2009 12:58 PM

it appears to be laying under his rear bumper

HazMatt24 02-25-2009 01:03 PM

so, you should have it on in a week or so I'm taking it

Sweet...I told Bill on Monday to ship me COD. Haven't heard anything more since then. Originally it was to arrive yesterday or today, but i delayed shipment a day by hesitating on the COD issue, so I'm hoping to see mine tomorrow.

1 down and how much left to go...gee I hope I can crack open a box with a OSV kit in it soon...:ninja:

That spot is just a run in the gelcoat. It can be sanded out easy before paint. Anyway it needs to be sanded primed/base/clear.

Looking good! Can't wait to see it installed.

That is just the gelcoat. It needs to be primed, basecoat, clearcoat still. LOL

There is flaw in the side skirts. They built in a notch for a 2 door that was not visible in the progress pictures they sent to us. I am didscussing this with Aldo currently and Scot is coming over to the house tonight. I have issues with the side skirts and the rear bumper.

If anyone else receives their kit tale pictures of the rear bumper.

your skirts also look strikingly similar, as if they're both made for the same side

99alerogirl 02-25-2009 02:00 PM

i noticed that too, but figured i just didn't know much about body kits :(

Yup they are both passenger sides. I have been on the phone with him already.

I need someone with a 2 door to take a picture of their stock side skirts with the door open so I can send it to Bodykits.

Give me a couple minutes and I'll load it up on here. BTW don't make fun of my currently craptastic car. It should be done soon :)

The back bumper where area the trunklid meets looks pretty thin. And looks like it has already warped. it bubbled up it looks like on the 4th pic.

sburke 02-25-2009 02:50 PM

Alright I'm an idiot and can't figure out how to load the pics without overloading my limit of pics I can load.

PM your email address and I will just shoot you an email.
