Coming along nicely, Can wait to get the heads on and the supercharger, but in the mean time this is what todays efforts produced.

Looks real pretty....lol You hiding a double roller under that front cover too?

BlackV6 11-25-2011 07:35 PM

Why yes I am in fact , I'll post some of the preassembly pics soon .
This is also hiding a Milzy stage 2 Superchrger Cam and balanced rotating assembly with knife edged crank forged pistons .75mm overbore. More details to come

BlackV6 11-26-2011 07:34 AM

Few shots of some of the hidden goodies and some custom work on the 3500 upper. And of coarse some more TCE goodness. In the process of rebuilding the lifters to incluse the stiffer springs from TCE. Now if I can just get him to make me one of those beautiful valve covers ????

unchained01 11-27-2011 12:17 AM

Yeah exactly I have asked him for a set too.

BlackV6 11-27-2011 01:01 PM

Problem is no one wants to spend the $. I told him I only wanted one, the front cover and he is thinking about it. Havnt heard anything in a while so my guess is no. Too bad, he does some beautiful work but like anyone , the man wants to get paid.
I would love to advertise TCE so I guess the TB will have to do :)

Looks sweet man subscribed! Whats the supercharger setup like?

BlackV6 12-11-2011 10:38 AM

Modified RSM setup . Actually the entire shaft has been replaced and all bearings have been modified . The only thing left RSM is the VORTECH 9 G Trim Charger
Will post picks when everything comes back from the machine shop.

Sounds awesome man .004 ptw clearence sounds pretty loose to me unless your shooting for 350+ hp. As far as I know diamond pistols are alloy which wont heat up as much as a cast piston so the pistons wont expand as much so I think you could run your ptw a little tighter but its already together so... Lol

What are your power goals

Papa Rad17 12-11-2011 11:24 PM

Freakin beastly!

Goals are what ever I can get. To be honest the RSM kit was a good idea but it never performed like anyone expected due to the fact RSM had no real tune. Plus they used a stock bottom , cam and injectors which resulted in epic fail after two years. Cooked #6 after a major lean out and thus the project began.

Beefed bottom, balanced rotating assembly, Total Seal Gapless Rings , cam for boost, 36# injectors, Double roller, and the RSM drive line for the Votech has been scrapped and modified to be not only servicable but reliable.
3500 Top with stage 2 Milzy cleanup as well as valve guides turned down to accept real seals instead of using Cavy seals and hoping for the best.
Comp Springs as well as a clean valve job.

The key this time not only includes the harware it also will be tuned by a shop that specializes in boost. Local with a tuner that knows what he is doing with regards to GM + Boost.

Its been proven that this motor is amazing with what it can produce and take.
My goal is to get what it can produce without crossing the line of another epic failure.

If I can get an even reliable 300HP Ill consider this a success, anything over that will just be a plus.

Well best of luck to you man it sounds like a solid build

Putting 3500 LIM on with 3500 Felpro kit
The s shaped seals have 2 tabs on them and no holes in the 3400 block to seat them , do I just cut the tabs off and RTV in place ?
This is a 3500 top going on a 3400 block
Thanks

3 options:

- Drill the block so you can use the locating nubs on the rubber seals (probably not the best option for you)
- Cut the nubs off and use a bit of RTV to hold the rubber seal in place (you need a a bit of RTV where the heads meet the LIM anyway)
- Ditch the rubber seal altogether and just use a generous bead of RTV to make your own seal
