Can't believe Aleromod is still alive! So nice to see. I haven't been here since 2008.

Many many years ago, I swapped the IRS and rear discs off an Alero onto my 2000 Cavalier convertible. I still have it, it's always parked for the winter.

Now usually I pick up a Blazer, or F150, or J-body for a "winter beater" but this year I found a minty 2004 Alero GL... I'm afraid to call it a beater, because it is in very nice shape...

Coupe, 2.2L Eco, Getrag trans... seems to have everything but rear discs, leather and keyless entry.

I don't plan on modding it too much (for fear of the wife divorcing me), but I plan to fix all the little things that are worn out... and maybe a few little things she probably won't notice!

Very nice score with the 5 speed!

Congratulations and very nice find!! That's the 1st North American spec one I've seen with the side indicators on the front fenders too.

Have never noticed that on an Alero but I like the Saab inspired look.

I had no idea the repeaters were not factory. They sure look like the SAAB lights, identical to my Toyota Cavalier ones.

They were factor spec for the Euro export cars and all the leftover parts were used up on the '04 Canadian models...

I'm in Ontario and I've seen quite a few with them over the years...

Same, but I agree it does look good and unique from the other model years. At least for a NA spec one.

Yeah, that's the first time I've ever seen them factory outside of a Euro spec car. Ahh yes, the Toyota Cavalier. That also has the amber turn signals on the taillights iirc?

Interesting, I didn't know that. It makes sense though. They have to use those parts for something right? Kinda like how UPS used a bunch of Alero headlights for some of their package cars lol. I wonder why they didn't do that with the U.S. spec ones too though? I think it looks cool.
