status seats any good?

i know theyre not recaro's or brides but has anyone heard of these?

[ion] C2 10-14-2008 02:17 PM

Yes, Speed Industry near me sells them. If you're not 130lbs don't bother. They are SUPER skinny. I tried sitting in them for lulz, they are tiny.

heineck 10-14-2008 08:04 PM

what seats arent like super skinny

[ion] C2 10-14-2008 08:11 PM

Tenzo Racing Sports

Otto-R

etc.

I can vouch for the Otto-Rs, I had a set for a little bit, sold them so I could buy my spare engine. Now I'm getting the gray/black Tenzos.

heineck 10-14-2008 08:12 PM

yea i aint 130 but i want some buckets

[ion] C2 10-14-2008 08:17 PM

Buckets? The non-adjustable crap? Plenty to choose from, uncomfortable.

cherrington17 10-14-2008 08:19 PM

i think by buckets, he means the type you posted....

heineck 10-14-2008 08:24 PM

nah i meant the non adjustable crap haha but those tenzo's arent bad lookin

[ion] C2 10-14-2008 08:36 PM

never get a non-adjustable in a daily or frequent driver. no one does, lol. the only reason you'd get non adjustable is if they are super light when your car is totally stripped for drag racing, because it's lame to not be able to adjust your sitting angle lol

heineck 10-14-2008 08:38 PM

damn i feel noobish now...

[ion] C2 10-14-2008 08:43 PM

ProCarParts.com sells seats for $200-250 ish area shipped for a pair. Tenzos are typically $430-600 shipped for a pair. You can get generic racing seats on eBay for 250-300 usually.

Things are all across the board. Recaros can be $1200+ no problem. I like Tenzos a lot.

heineck 10-14-2008 08:48 PM

to install, chevy brackets would work right?

[ion] C2 10-14-2008 08:53 PM

i dunno, you pretty much always have to do custom stuff. welding on a strip of metal and/or drilling holes to line up with the seats' holes. i'm having mine installed by a shop along with my takata harnesses.

heineck 10-14-2008 08:59 PM

haha those green takata's thats sick man

TheEdgeofSanity 10-14-2008 09:10 PM

i'm happy with my stockers.....they're supportive, comfy, and adjustable. best of all, they match my interior and hide stains with their velvety fabric! lol

Chipmunk-Alero 10-14-2008 10:45 PM

Shophyperformance.com

That is where I got my set of BOMZ seats from. It was $275 shipped to my door. All I had to do was use the stock bracket and make metal strips to line up the holes. Extremely comfortable and durable.

heineck 10-16-2008 10:31 AM

yea just ordered those tenzos =D

[ion] C2 10-16-2008 10:53 AM
