In this post oldsman has what looks to be a little miniature cai filter round thing right above his intake manifold. What does it do, how affective is it, is it worth buying and how hard is it to install. iM So LoSt  |
its a crankcase breather filter, which is needed for the 2.3HO intake manifold swap
|
Also some intakes for the 2.2 require you to use a breather instead of a hose going to the intake tube.

i got mine from induction dynamics when their CAI use to not have the tube in the intake pipe for the blow-by.
basically what the breather filter does is vents your blow-by in to the air rather than recirculating it back into the intake pipe and thru your TB and reburning the oil. only really benefit to it is your TB and intake manifold stays nice and clean and doesn't get gunked up with that black crap from the blow-by of the motor. |
Thanks alot
