Windshield Wiper Arm Paint Color

The wiper arms on my '03 were rusting up so I bought some trim paint from the local NAPA.

Dupli-Color Trim Paint "Black"

Not a bad match, but I simply used a scrotch-brite to clean up the arms, so I am sure it will not take long for the rust to return.

Should have treated it like a car paint. Get paint and clear coat.

Good idea, although that would have taken my project from six dollars to twelve.

Can you buy clear coat that is not glossy?

X2 for having not to revisit and a better finish overall. mine are not rusting yet but have had more and more flakes coming off. you paint them on or off the car? how was the removal of the arm if so?

removal of the arms are easy. open hood, remove nut. brake arm free of taper, unplug washer hose and remove. repeat for other side.

Yeah I had mine powder coated and they still show signs on the weather. :(

Black plastic dip worked fine for me.

Brilliant! would match my tail lights to. here am plotting to try engine enamel... I have tried plasti dip for countless things and done 2 cars. yet never once has it occurred to me to simply do that for my wiper arms.
