exhaust hanging too low

well i bought my SLP exhaust used off someone from the board a couple months ago, idk if the person i bought it off of had a different year alero but it didnt really fit into the grooves that were under the car so it is like hanging down, while its at the body shop ill try to take some pics whiles its up on the lift, but anyone know the reason why it didnt fit correctly? my next mod is going to be bagging my car and i will not be able to do it if the exhaust is sticking out so much from the body of the car :/

;) It looks low but it's fine.

Sweet's car is bagged and he has no problems

except that i dont have SLP......

i do have a custom exhaust though........ what parts of your exhaust are hanging low? the muffler or piping or converter?

why dont you just take a pic of yours sweetNlow and show him how low yours is

the part after the cat, it hangs like 1.5 inches off the ground, i think im just gonna get something custom made at a local muffler shop

I lay on my exhaust, heck my cat is drugged flat. U dont need to worry about the exhaust after bagged.. it'll be fine.

I also have the same problem w/ my Borla, mines lowered w/ Eibachs and I scrape the hell out of it over speed bumps and other things, but it has held up fine.

with my system in the car my back wheel is already tucked in the wheel wellim not worried about it scraping, im just asking if its normal for an aftermarket exhaust to not fit into the grooves under the car

SweetNLow 12-08-2006 07:17 PM

yes its normal for it to not fit in the "grooves" perfectly
