Worn rings + boost = explosive results? I've had this "blow-by" since I installed my WAI, and probably before that. Made 11 passes so far drag racing (at the track, at least) on 4 PSI. What to do :(

rebuild the motor. boosting a high mileage motor is not good. unless you are being easy on it.

this is one reason why i have not boosted mine being i have high mileage and i refuse to do it have ass.

i would say start saving up to rebuild the motor but until then take it easy on the boost and you should be fine

I'll try, lol. Next up are:
- Eagle forged rods
- New rings
- Clevite 77 main and rod bearings

Pistons should be good for now, plus I'm a broke college student, in debt, with a crappy job.

Not explosive, just a lot of blow by like you have. Do you have to add more oil pretty frequently?

Time for an engine build, or consider a lower mileage engine swap.

Nope, oil lasts, never low..

I'll be buildin soon :)

Dude just save a lil more money and get the pistons too. It costs a lot anyway to do the bottom end and have everything apart.

[ion] C2 10-08-2007 06:05 PM

eh i plan on doin the bottom end work with my uncle(s), no install costs. unless i come upon some cash for pistons too in a reasonable amt of time, i'd rather not risk my current setup for much longer
