Caliper brackets
I was wondering if anyone else here has ever done a brake job to find the caliper bracket bolts won't come off. I brought it to a shop and they couldn't do it either. What would have to be done to get them off? Even if there's another post I didn't happen to find that would be great.

Torch
Muhahahahahahaha! |
Not a bad idea :P.

I find that hard to believe.
Soak it with PB Blaster for a day or two, spraying it every 3-4 hours. It will come loose. |
I kno. I was in disbelief myself. Them suckers are on there pretty good.

Ive come across alot...in some case i would get the caliper bolt almost out and it snap's off...off to the parts store i go....have to buy loaded caliper from NAPA...
Ya agree need some heat to get them out sometimes... THAT WAY I ALL WAYS STRESS USING ANTI-SEZE...on every bolt... |

i agree with nate, the bolts on mine were a real bitch to get off until we hit them with some heat and a bolt extractor cause they were a little rounded off. a torch does the trick everytime.
