ground wire for my amp

so i got it mounted right behind my tail light in my trunk but thats to far away from my amp and im not about to move everything for the ground. Im not sure where else to put it because of the chance of a fire. a friend of mine his set up caught on fire and almost lost his car! so im playing safe.
so could anyone tell me where they mount there ground wire at?
i pefer it to be close to the back seat.
you could throw in a pic to if you want lol
thanks

i drilled a hole in the metal "fin" behind the wheel well... mounted a bolt, attached the ground.

backseat hinge is also common

Just for the record Im not reading that shit. Reset the damned alignment for left to right and then I will read it.

that will forever be known as the most disgusting way to put out a fire...ever.

There are lots of bolts that you could ground to under the back seat. Just take out the cushions and you'll see. All you need is a good clean connection with bare metal...pretty much the whole car is metal for the record.

The fire issue is more likely to do with improper fusing and improper wire size.
The longer the wire the thicker it needs to be. There are charts out there that tells you the proper sizing.
