Hey First try on any car for the 1/4 mile, and i did 16.547 at 83 mph ?!

is this good for a Stock 2.4l manual ?!

thanx

Silentalero 07-27-2004 11:21 AM

better than me

17.003 lol

btw if your car goes slower than me, it must be burned

Dark_GoD 07-27-2004 11:32 AM

dude... considering your car weight... thats an excellent time !!!

lol :D

Silentalero 07-27-2004 11:37 AM

yea but then again my engine isnt stock either so bleh

Dark_GoD 07-27-2004 12:26 PM

Yeah but you get back at me with the coolness of your car and chic magneting with it !

ptrudel 07-27-2004 12:28 PM

stock rims and tires?

i ran a 16.17@85.sumthin but average was about 16.35ish

Dark_GoD 07-27-2004 02:44 PM

Yeah, its a Stock everywhere alero

ptrudel 07-27-2004 03:00 PM

what kind of temperature? head/tail wind? all factors that come into play

Dark_GoD 07-28-2004 12:09 AM

mmm as i recall, humid/hot and no wind

Oldsman 07-28-2004 12:47 AM

i would say not bad. moh is a little slow. but weather probably had factors into that.

ptrudel 07-28-2004 08:10 AM

temp was definately a factor...it was a bit colder here when i ran...but u shoulda ran a bit quicker, my times were with the massive chrome 18's...

Redog 07-28-2004 08:48 AM

I'd say that time is OK

You said it was humid, that plays a factor with a EFI car

Did you load it up before your launch? (rev motor to about 2000 RPM before the launch)

Dark_GoD 07-28-2004 08:59 AM

yeah but i had a crapy reaction time 0.5 something something

Redog 07-28-2004 09:00 AM

500 isn't a bad r/t for the first time with a new car

ptrudel 07-28-2004 09:04 AM

isn't 500 a perfect launch?

Dark_GoD 07-28-2004 10:13 AM

i dont think so... the next to me on the track abnd on the slip sheet... made a 0.156 or something close like that... damn civics... didnt beat him as a race... but on time i was faster

ptrudel 07-28-2004 10:15 AM

i guess there's different ways to time reaction time then...here if we got under a .500 it was a redlight...

Dark_GoD 07-28-2004 10:19 AM

wow loox like its early.. cuz i cant spell lol

fusion 08-02-2004 03:18 PM

nice! yeah, that soundz like a good average time for a 2.4L .. but with manual u should go a little faster.

With a custom warm air intake, my fastest run was 16.42s.

Fusion

yiddishbdg 08-03-2004 10:20 AM

For reaction times, it depends on what kind of tree you are running off of. BTW, i've been runnin in the mid to high 16.1xx's recently with the 2.4l manual with knn intake and blizzaks on(haven't had time to get my toyos mounted)
