Pinstripe removal?

With some of customs graphics or maybe racing stripes and the crome iv added I'm not liking the pinstripe vs my the nice clean look. Anyone have any ideas on removal? I really don't care for damaging my paint. It's getting a bit tattered but it's still on there pretty good. Any suggestions?

if there decals (not painted on) which i assume they are. Use a pvc window tint tool or carefully use a razor. Just heat gun it a bit and scrape a corner up so you can peel them off.

I wouldnt do it unless your comfortable with it but for say window tint, tint in general, anything really, you can use a medium reducer (mineral spirits/paint thinner) and they will almost melt off. Thats how I got the tint off my tail lights when I marred it up .

See the clamped down bit on there. That is (most of the time) a pressurized hose. Which meens its the feed, not the return. Turn your car on and turn your steering wheel all the way to the right (or left) and go look. If it is spraying liquid then you need a new hose. If not then check your o-rings.

what about that one?

when i removed the ugly ass graphics that were on my civic when i bought it i used a plastic paint scraper and a hair dryer, worked amazingly, and is safe for the paint

hot water from a hose also works, they do make plastic razer blades too

Any kind of scraper or blade covered in some kind of cloth to keep from scratching things up.

Eraser wheel. Plug it up to air compressor and it takes the pinstriping right off quick and easy with no damage to the paint.

I was able to peel mine off by hand. No tools required! There is no damage to the paint this way!

I used a heat gun and razor blade. Once it is gone use goo gone to get all the residue and then make sure to get some wax on it to protect the newly exposed paint.

I would have done this too, but mine are painted on. :glare:
