No major repairs

Redog 06-11-2011 11:40 PM

I'm at 130,3xx

Did a water pump back around 128,xxx or so, and just at 130,000 I did both the upper and lower hoses.

A few LIMG jobs but I had the head gasket done last year in July about 120,000 miles

Brad Jahnke 06-11-2011 11:45 PM

Lol...2001 LD9 I Think...lets see...bought it with 66k

I've done:

Front hubs @ 89k
Ignition overhaul due to remote start failure @ 91k
Rack and pinion @94k
Front hubs again @97k
Blower motor @ 69k, 84k, 105k
2 tranny mounts, 1 engine mount @106k
A/C compressor @106k

I have a feeling the transmission is gonna need some work soon...

JLw7123 06-11-2011 11:46 PM

i am up to 140,000 miles on my 3400

That01Olds 06-12-2011 12:23 AM

My 2001 Alero GL 2.4L (LD9) had over 207k miles on it when my sister traded it in. I got it with 177k miles on it and drove it til 195k miles with no major repairs.

whiterider00 06-12-2011 12:40 AM

00 ld9 with over 196k miles. wheel bearing once, second one in the garage for tomorrow. blower motor resistor, window motor reg, various other bits and pieces including a decent amount of rust repair, and an even more decent amount of custom work.

$hawn 06-12-2011 01:23 AM

99 2.4 had 109k when I bought it now has 116K, no major repairs just maintenance stuff and small minor things here and there.

sleepyalero 06-12-2011 04:33 AM

01' 3400. sitting at 167k miles.

repairs:
thermostat around 162k miles.
transmission rebuild around 148k-ish miles... (my fault. :()

pretty much it, love the car and no horrible issues. :)

robalero 06-12-2011 10:03 AM

2000 2.4L

my alero bought at 137k.

repairs done then since car was bought for $400,
one wheel bearing, one rear strut mount and rear sway bar bushings.

mileage now and repairs done.

152k

two wheel bearings in front, replaced abs harness on one side, quarter panels and some rockers, front pads and rotors new strut mounts all around except one, front sway bar links and one brake line.

I think thats everything I can't think of anything more that I needed to do to it. thankfully I can fix it all myself and it doesn't cost me a fortune

tw0123 06-12-2011 10:40 AM

02 3400 GLS- bought with 67000km, blew the motor at 174000km, it sat in the driveway for 2 years and finally got replaced last year... other than that general maintenance and a couple wheel bearings
99 LD9- bought with 246000km for a bottle of tequila- replaced alternator and battery, did some bondo on the rockers, replaced all brakes- lines, rotors, pads, front calipers, did a GA interior swap and it now has 275000 with no issues (knock on wood!!)

bshatney 06-12-2011 10:57 AM

99 3400 bought with 152k, now has 154k lol. had a wheel bearing replaced, and needs blower motor resistor and cd player. (stock cd player takes a cd in, makes a god-awful noise and spits it back out)

spc2125 06-12-2011 11:01 AM

02 2.2 with 146k
back in jan/feb i had a misfire and had to replace the ignition module. $288 for part and labor.

P.S. did anyone catch the spelling in the title?

scotty11811 06-12-2011 11:08 AM
