well i finally purchased a zex dry kit off line lasy staerday and should be her sometime this week! i currently have an intake and exhaust with msd wires...what kind of 1/4 tiem can i be looking at with a 75 shot or even a 65 shot?

kwhauck 02-28-2005 06:26 PM

i wouldn't put that big of a dry shot on your car without other modifications......you are just asking for problems.....

stlalerodude03 02-28-2005 06:28 PM

i have intkae and exhaust a 65 shot wotn be htat hard on the engine!

wy3134 02-28-2005 06:31 PM

dont get overconfident with a dry kit....better to start off with a smaller shot and work your way up...and intake and exhaust have nothing to do with how the engine reacts to the nitrous oxide, thats why so many prefer or recommend if you must get a nitrous kit to get a wet kit, that way your not just shooting nitrous into the engine, but a mix of fuel and nitrous

let us know some times once u get it installed and take it to the track.

stlalerodude03 02-28-2005 07:32 PM

will do!

Hate to burst your bubble but the Zex dry kit on a GM motor will blow it up :(

Once you hit the button, or it hits WOT, (which ever way you set it up) you WILL blow the 2,4,and 6 pistons out of the back of the block. Most likely on the 3rd shot

If you're going to do nitrous on an Alero (or any other GM car) the NX wet kit is better. I've heard of guys using the NOS wet kit on Camaros and 3800 motors.

Oldsman 02-28-2005 08:34 PM

Zex has blown a lot of motors.

mike2002 02-28-2005 09:35 PM

is it ON order, or do you already have it? either cancel the order, or sell it on ebay, or some highschooler...lol (they'll buy it, just throw in some NOS stickers)

stlalerodude03 02-28-2005 10:12 PM

so ur sayign no matter what i do my engien will blow with a 55 shot! not guarntted!

did you read the system requirements?

Quote:

The system can be used on an engine with stock rods, pistons and crankshaft. However, at power levels of 140 and above, it is recommended that heavy-duty forged components be used.

thats why i would stay away from it

and stlalerodude03 PLEASE proof read your posts, you are giving me a headache.

stlalerodude03 02-28-2005 10:32 PM

u dont have to use a 140 shot
a 55 shot would be great!
