I just got my Sprint lowering springs installed today and the drop looks great. One thing that concerns me is the "twanging" noise when I turn my wheel pretty far to one side. Sometimes if I'm reversing out of a spot, as i turn the wheel back towards the straight position, it sometimes "twangs" or makes a springy noise if you know what i mean. Is this something that will go away with settling, or is something else going on here. It seemed to have dropped 2 inches right away, i dont know if it'll settle more. I'm going to get an alignment because i have a slight pull to one side, but nothing major. No sense in getting one yet if these springs need to be re-installed or have something done to them.
Anyone have any thoughts? By the way i'm on stock struts at about 49,000 miles, 2002 GX model V-6.

You're on stock springs AND Sprint Springs? Well that's your problem.. you've go too many springs in there! LOL

Mine still make that noise sometimes.. it's like "puuunngggg" But it's getting better, only does it sometimes now, and I put mine in about a month-month and a half ago.

Mine made some noise at first but only a clunking sound

jabartram 03-26-2005 02:18 AM

my intrax did the same for about a month.

they arent seated right
jack the front of the car up and repeatedly turn the wheel back and forth. then drop it, most of the time that'll reseat em and the noise will go away forever.
