Well since some of you audio gurus suggested I look for subs with highest max excursion for a cleaner sound, perhaps you could point me to some. i found the new memphis m3s have a max of .9 inches, ive heard some have upwards of 1.2inches, but cant seem to find information. lmk thanks

Eclipse titaniums have a maximum four inch excursion.

4 inches is quite a lot... sure its not 4 inches peak to peak...
your right, its 4inches peak to peak, i just got done looking at the eclipse subs, and after picking my jaw off the floor with the power those things have! 3000watts RMS and 5000watts peak is amazing!!!
5000 watts is more powerful than my lawnmower
i bet if you tried to put one of those in the alero it would crumble under the pressures exerted from the sub
Oh yeah. If I wasn't married those would be in the car. Since I am married, and on a married budget, I will just have to wish. Honestly, you should just go to a dealer to see these in person. The 18 inch pro's would give you a hernia just lifting. Not too mention that it is quite cool when you can hook a sub straight into a 120 volt line and run it.
