Thanks, I guess that's the problem, air in the system. I left the coolant tank cap off and ran the engine until it gets too hot then shut it down. It's bubbling pretty good but this may take forever....

Just replaced the water pump. No problem at all went great. Drained a little coolant but really didn't need to. Anyway, start it up and the low coolant light comes on and the temp gauge starts...

If you remove the coolant expansion tank there's plenty of room. Four pulley bolts and five bolts that attach the pump to the engine. Relatively easy and cheap repair

Well, the power steering pump eventually went out. Grinding sound something fierce and with the chirping was making one heck of a racket. Replaced power steering pump..all is well.
