no wire connected to what? The external crank trigger is the 7x sensor. The sensor / reluctor in the block on the 3500 is WAY different.

that 3x ignition wire is it's own thing, runs from the crank sensor to the ignition module and isn't integrated into any other wiring or harness. Any one from a 3100 or 3400 should work.

I wasn't aware of any way to get a BIN file from HPTuners.... I though that was a DHP thing. HPTuners just saves a .hpt file.

The fob should not make a difference with your theft deterrent system unless something aftermarket was added on. The Alero only came with PassLock system, or for some export models starting in 2001...

Just an idea, you can put the antenna in the side mirror. The signal will travel through glass and plastic, but not metal. This is how the C6 Corvette has it from 2006+.
