Update 3400 V6 cold missfire

A new 540 dollar intake job did NOT fix the cold start issue......

we are monitoring coolant level now very closely

have not ruled out a head gasket.

never had an ongoing problem that has even has...

Its Not the plugs, and I just put in new wires........

It WAS NOT the Autolite Double Platinums and they were not fouled at all when I pulled all six of them to switch them to the Iridium AC...

This morning, I started the 3400V6 Alero, NO rough Idle now.

Changed APP 606 Auto lite Double Platinums out and reinstalled

AC Delco 41-101 Iridium plugs and cold started this morning......no...

Used Autolite Double Platinum pt# APP 606

IS the 3400 V6 Alero that susceptable to problems with double Platinum tipped spark plugs, in regards to...

rough idle

rough engine idle at cold start

rpms not jumping up or down...

if i rev engine and pick up rpm, rough idle smooths out at about 1500 rpm

if I take off, rough idle goes away......

stops idleing...

Have used Lucas regularly

It can't be plugged injectors, or else it would run rough continually.

It is a rough run under cold start thru to 1/3rd of the way through the warm up cycle.

This problem clears itself after...

Just started haveing a cold start rough idle in 2002 Alero GL coupe 3400 V6

rough idle GOES away if rpm is increased, (engine smooths right out)

rough idle (goes away) after about 3 to 4 minutes...

Rough run at COLD start up

Just started having rough run issue at cold start up, with a 2002 Alero GL Coupe 3400 V6

Cold start rough run, until rpm raised over idle speed.

Only happens during cold idle only, and goes away...

Hi Alero fans,

went to the Oldsmobile Homecomeing in Lansing, MI and spoked to the gentleman who owns this ALero coupe.....

Does any one have a fiberglass cowl hood like this one from Boat...
