I'm installing a new Pioneer head unit in an '04 Alero (2 door, 4.2L eco) but none of the wiring harnesses or antenna adapters from any of these stores look quite right, and none of them specify use...

That's what I used. I took the front bumper off, cut the shapes and sizes I needed, and I think I like the overall look better than if I'd used metal mesh.

My Alero does exactly what you described. I have a feeling it's a problem with the rear-driver sensor or wires though. I did head warning though and asked that my wheel bearing be checked last time...

I sometimes get the trac off light for no apparent reason, and I've heard a lot of things about wires near the wheel wells that get a little loose or shake affecting that and the brake light.
