my first subs (2) were radioshack Optimus 12''ers. about $50 each, but they did a decent job. had decent sound to them, but weren't overly powerful...
i actually still have 2 in a box here. (if anyone doesn't know optimus equipment used to be made by pioneer) i'll probably eventually give them away, just to free up the space.
