Have you tested the radio prior to putting it in to make sure that it powered up as it should? I would pull it out and power it up just to make sure it is in working order. Then I would check the connections on the RAP if you installed one. Once that was verified I would reinstall the radio checking connections, and verify that everything works. If it doesn't work then you know that the radio is good leaving the RAP as the problem and\or the wiring...i.e...poor grounds, poor connections, incorrect wiring. Wish you luck figuring this out.
