Add one more person to that list! I took my hood off and put it back on on myself (replacing fenders on my GA).

The trick is to grab it from the bumper to the windshield, not fender to fender. Also, you want to use the prop rod to your advantage. If your Alero has the gas shocks, then make a provisional prop rod.

Don't make excuses not to do things... I don't have many good friends, so all car work is done solo. It takes time, but it can get done...
