I finally got around to fixing my passenger side mirror. The black plastic mount piece that connects the painted mirror to the car had something broken internally. I went to a junkyard and dissected a few mirrors until I got good at it, and just took the piece that I needed. Didn't want to take a whole side mirror because I didn't want to have to find one the right color, and it was easy enough to do it my way. Note: You
need one of those square drive screwdrivers to complete this job. Like one of these:
I took a ton of pictures and might make a How-To at some point. The mirror was one of those spring loaded mirrors, and yes dealing with getting the spring back in place was a pain, but still doable by yourself.
