My turbo Alero is my DD also. A built engine with cams and a lot of boost doesn't make it no longer a DD. I'm swapping in a built Eco and hoping to push between 320-350hp to the wheels, and it'll still be my DD. What fun is it to limit your engine?

Just start off with a simple kit with 8-10 psi. You'll be pretty happy with it for a while...then just upgrade a little at a time.
